Posts: 12,580 Group: Elite Member Member #6,372 Joined: June 18, 2011 Gender Not Specified Country United Kingdom	To be fair on the people who thought Piccolo forfeited because of Supreme Kai being a God and not stronger than him, the line about their dimensions being different wasn't in the Viz manga or the Funi Dub (Not sure about original Japanese) so unless someone can read Japanese or has seen Herms strength checker it's a very easy mistake to make.

Internet Explorer Favourite Manga Dragon Ball	I don't know exactly why the debate has gone on for this long. Base Goten had comparable strength to Cyborg 18. So while in base Goten is really no match for Piccolo. As a Super Saiyan though Goten outclasses Piccolo, since we see him sparring heavily with SSjin Teen Gohan. We don't know how strong the Supreme Kai is exactly, but I believe it was interpreted in the original translation that Piccolo was refferring to the fact that he actually was outclassed in power. Kamikaze can supply the info. Now, it seemed bogus to me because of a few things. One, the Supreme Kai never actually fought, and yet we get the impression that his physical strength is completely lacking since he considered opponents like Yakon and Pui-Pui great threats, whereas Vegeta and Goku beat them pretty easily. And if Kaioshin far outstripped Piccolo, who is if anything stronger than he was before, I doubt he would consider Dabra to be such a powerhouse. Even Vegeta comments to Goku that the Supreme Kai's power was nothing. So, it was hard for me to take in [and still is]. But Kami Vegeta has the translation on hand if you want it.

Vegeta was raised to become a fearless warrior king, and Son Goku was supposed to be one of his 'servants', in other words Son Goku was supposed to be a low class Saiyajin. The fact that Son Goku brought Vegeta to near-defeat, cracked his pride immensely. One other reason why he calls Son Goku a clown, could be that Son Goku isn't actually a Saiyajin from a personality standpoint, Son Goku is a fun-loving character, while the ordinary Saiyajin is a grim-warrior. Therefor Vegeta calls him a clown, for mere insult. I never saw it in the manga, but if Nappa was refer'd to as 'second strongest Saiyajin' then it is understandable. For whatever we know cannon wise about the Saiyajin's, Nappa was one of the best, he was like the right hand of Vegeta. So whoever made this statement, wasn't completely wrong, if it was ever said. I never saw somebody say, that Vegeta and Freeza are the strongest of the Universe in the manga, but maybe I'm mistaken again. Vegeta's power during the time he thought he was a Super Saiyajin was stronger then Piccolo's, Freeza's as well. So by logic, whoever said that had a point. Because both basically had the highest power level at the time. Seru isn't wrong if he refers to himself as 'Perfection'. Because basically he is. Seru processes countless techniques, and fighting styles. If that's not perfect then I don't know what is. Piccolo was able to defeat Freeza at the time they fought. Vegeta believed he was a Super Saiyajin, plus we didn't know what a Super Saiyajin looked like at the time. All the statements you brought up, do not disprove the statement made by Kamicolo. Kamicolo is not only wise but also a master in combat and Ki sensing, plus Kuririn took it as a power statement, and Kamicolo didn't correct him. For me the statement was pretty clear. If you think differently then I'm fine with that.

Character statements are true unless proven otherwise/contradicted. Personal opinion statements like Vegeta's are a weak argument, man. We clearly see that Goku isn't a clown, Nappa isn't the second strongest Saiyan, Vegeta and Freeza aren't the strongest in the universe, Cell isn't untouchable, Piccolo couldn't beat Freeza, and Vegeta wasn't a Super Saiyan during the Freeza era. Until they were proven otherwise, we had no real reason to doubt those statements, except maybe Vegeta's about being a Super Saiyan because he was getting a bit delusional at that point.
